In the late 60's and early 70's, when high school and college students all over the country were protesting the Vietnam War and the lifestyle of their parents, writers for the Centralian jumped into the fray. Student Council did not accept the invitation to join the War Moratorium March and Ceremony at the University, but a number of students did take part in the protest and wrote articles of dissent, pro and con.
