We are proud of the Helping Hands youth volunteers realizing they can make a difference by being responsible and caring young citizens of Grand Forks. To be young and realize they can have a positive impact on a very big need in our community is something that will never leave their hearts. That is the hope for the Helping Hands youth: May they keep a lifetime spirit of giving to others strong in their heart, hands, and head. Each summer, they are teaching by example to the adults that everyone on any day can make their community a better place.
Program Requirements: Participants need to be a Grand Forks Public Schools middle or high school student, and must be 12 years old by June 1st in the year they wish to participate in the program.
2018 Helping Hands was a great success! There were 150 student registrations.
The students that turned in their 2018 volunteer hour logs accumulated 5,314 hours within an eight week period.
