Head Coach: VA/JV FB, BBB, GBB, BHO, VA Competition
This is Sarah's 10th year as head coach at RRHS. She is employed by the UND School of Medicine as the Imaging Center's light microscopy technician. She is in her eighth year as a member of the NDCCA board and currently holds the position of website director. She is married to Beau Abrahamson (head wrestling coach of the EGF/Sacred Heart, Minn. team) and they have three daughters.
Sarah's first cheerleading year was in Fairborn, Ohio (1992) where she cheered for the local YMCA's pee wee football team. In high school (Thief River Falls, Minn.) she cheered two seasons for varsity wrestling and one season for varsity boys basketball. She graduated from UND with a bachelor's degree in forensic science where she cheered four seasons of football (co-ed), two seasons of women's basketball (all girl), and two seasons of men's basketball (co-ed). In the summer of 2006 she was a Universal Cheerleading Association staff member.
Assistant Coach: VA/JV BBB, GBB, BHO, VA/JV Competition
This is Emily's second year as assistant coach at RRHS. She is currently attending UND, majoring in Biology with a Pre-Health focus. Emily graduated from RRHS where she cheered three years - one year of junior varsity football, winter sideline, and competition and two years of varsity football, basketball, and competition. During her senior year, she received the UCA All-American award and camp hardest worker and traveled with the rest of her team to Orlando, Fla. to compete in the National High School Cheerleading Championships, where they took 6th place.
Assistant Coach: VA/JV FB, BBB, GBB, BHO, JV Competition
This is Rose's second year as assistant coach at RRHS. Rose is a sophomore at UND and is majoring in psychology. She is currently involved in UND's North Dakota Farmer's Union Collegiate Chapter and activities at the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center on the UND campus. She is originally from Beulah, ND and has two sisters; Emerald (her twin) and Ruby.
Rose began cheering as a freshman in high school (2011). She cheered for football all four years of high school and for boys basketball her sophomore and senior years. She was a member of the University of St. Thomas cheer team for the Fall 2015 semester before transferring to UND in January. Other related experience and accomplishments include two NCA All-American awards (junior and senior year), one year of coaching gymnastics, more than ten years of dance experience, one year of coaching dance, and being involved in various other mini cheer and dance camps. Rose is passionate about cheerleading and is so excited to share this passion with cheerleaders in the years to come!
