Brandon had an outstanding athletic and academic career during his 4 years at GFC. He participated in football, basketball, and baseball and earned 9 letters during his career - 4 in basketball, 3 in football, and 2 in baseball. As a basketball player, Brandon scored 1314 career points which ranks him as the 2nd all time leading scorer in GFC history. His 67 single season 3 pointers and free throw percentage of 85% ranks him number 1 in school history. Brandon was All-EDC 3 times and All-State once. GFC basketball made the state tournament twice during Brandon’s tenure, placing 6th in 2004. As a football player, Brandon was a two-time All-EDC performer and earned All-State honors his senior year. Brandon played quarterback and safety for the team that finished 2nd in state in 2004. Brandon played on the 2004 EDC baseball championship team that finished as the state runner-up.  The 2005 GFC baseball team finished 3rd at the state tournament. Brandon topped off his senior by being named the North Dakota State Winner of the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award. This award acknowledged Brandon’s excellence in athletics, academics, and activities within the community.

Brandon’s favorite GFC memory, among many, was when the football team beat Bismarck High in the semifinals of football in 2005. The game was in Bismarck and it was close throughout. The defense blocked an extra point in overtime to win. The team stormed the field and GFC was headed to the state championship game. Brandon said, "Ringing the bell back at the locker room was never more sweet. The bond and camaraderie I shared with the members of that team will last a lifetime." Brandon believes that school pride and the respect that GFC students, parents, and faculty show is second to none and what sets it apart. “People treated everyone with respect and showed compassion for their fellow classmates. With all of the history and tradition, it was an honor to walk into that beautiful school each day and wear the maroon and gray. As the school song states “It’s the Finest in Dakota”….

Brandon is currently living in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife Kerri (Meyer) and their son. Asher. He is the Managing Director of FP&A at DriveTime.
