Paschall (Hager), Sarah - 1994 Graduate - Athlete
Sarah was a three-sport standout athlete starting during her 7th grade year. During her career, she earned an amazing 12 varsity letters, 6 in track, 4 in basketball, and 2 in volleyball. As a basketball player, Sarah was a unanimous 1st team All-State selection in 1993 and a Miss Basketball finalist, which were both Central firsts. In 1994, she was voted to the Girls Class A Lions All Star game. Sarah made the all EDC for 3 years (1991-1993) and was voted to the All-Tournament Team in 1993. When Sarah graduated, she held 11 season and career GFC records.
During Sarah’s 6 year track career she totaled 606.25 points. In 1991, she was a member of the 3200 relay team that set a school record in the event which still stands today. At the State Track Meet in 1991, Sarah placed in three events. During her 6 years of participation with GFC Track, the team finished no lower than 3rd at the EDC indoor and outdoor meet, no lower than 6th at the State outdoor meet, and no lower than 7th at the State indoor meet. Sarah lettered in volleyball her junior and senior years. In her senior year, she led GFC and the EDC in serving percentage, which was 95%. After graduating from Central, Sarah earned a basketball scholarship at UND where she played for 2 years.
When asked what sets GFC apart, Sarah said “it was like a big family, my teammates and our families were all involved, supportive, and connected in and out of school activities”. Sarah’s significant memory from GFC is her friends and the friendships that have lasted over all of this time.
Currently, Dr. Sarah Paschall is a gynecologist specializing in reproductive medicine in Jacksonville, Florida. She is married to Dr. Chris Paschall and they have two amazing children: Jackson, age 7 and Nolan, age 5.
