Each middle school and high school in Grand Forks Public Schools has a Sources of Strength team made up of Adult Advisors (school staff) and Peer Leaders (students). Members go through a 3-5 hour training to learn how to be connectors to help and agents of change. Peer Leaders are not asked to become counselors or “junior psychologists”, rather they help their peers focus on their strengths and connect them to trusted adults in times of need.”
