Mini Grant Opportunities

Foundation for Education grant funding is derived from income on investments, from direct donor contributions, or from re-granting of major gifts.  From these funding sources, the Foundation awards grant in all grade levels and in all areas of the curriculum of the local public school district.  Funding is provided within four broad categories of interest:

  • Special projects that support teaching and learning
  • Enriched libraries and fine arts
  • Imaginative opportunities for new curricula
  • Professional Development for Educators

Spring Application Deadline: February 15th
Fall Application Deadline: October 15th (or the next business day if the 15th falls on a weekend)    Impact Grant Opportunities The Bill and Shirley Brown Endowment for Education continues to annually fund an Impact Grant providing larger award(s) for higher-level projects within the Grand Forks Public Schools.  Impact Grants are a catalyst for ideas or projects that are capable of having a lasting influence on a district-wide curricular area or grade level, or on a significant portion of students or educators at one or more schools.   Impact Grants are only awarded in the Spring
