Welcome to Elroy Schroeder Middle School! Ours is a school dedicated to meeting the needs of our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students and their families. As you prepare to become a Schroeder Raider, we want you to know our faculty and staff are dedicated to meeting our students’ social, emotional, and academic growth through educational and extra-curricular opportunities.

Schroeder Middle School first opened its doors in 1963 and is the namesake of longtime Grand Forks educator and superintendent Elroy H. Schroeder (pronounced "Schrayder"). We presently serve just over 500 students with two core teams at each grade level and one additional team dedicated to the allied arts at all grade levels.

Grand Forks Public Schools is presently engaged in all schools meeting the rigor of becoming High Reliability Schools. This five-level framework began last year and we reached Level 1 – Providing a Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture. Over the course of this and next year, we will strive to reach Level 2 – Providing Effective Teaching in Every Classroom. For us to reach Level 2, we will dedicate ourselves to peer meetings, the addition of an instruction design coach, grade-level team meetings, academic content collaboration, and administrative classroom visits and teacher conferencing. As we strive to meet Level 2 accreditation we will continue to evaluate and review our Level 1 work.
