Intro to Kindergarten 2025-2026
Grand Forks Public Schools is excited to offer Intro to Kindergarten programs during July and August 2025. This three-week program is designed to support incoming kindergarten students in building foundational skills for a successful start to the school year.
2025 - 2026 Intro to Kindergarten Program Details:
- Dates: July 28 - August 15, 2025
- Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 pm
- Focus Areas: Reading, Literacy, and Math
During this program, teachers will implement the same instructional practices and curricular resources used throughout the school year. In addition to early academic skills, the program emphasizes social and school development, including sharing, taking turns, following directions, lunchroom procedures, bathroom expectations, and engaging with classmates. Through interactive activities, students will explore key kindergarten concepts such as:
- Reading – Alphabet recognition and early literacy skills
- Math – Counting and basic number sense
- Writing – Letter formation and pre-writing skills
