If you are registering a new student at GFPS, here is a step-by-step guide to the process:

1. Pre-Registration Form: Please start by filling out the pre-registration form here so we can better understand your needs. Once submitted, someone from Grand Forks Public Schools will reach out to you with the next steps.

2. Organize Documents: Gather all necessary documents for registration. You can find a list of acceptable documents here. Please ensure you have all documents ready before proceeding to the next step.

3. Submit Your Documents: You can return your completed documents either in person (to the school office) or via email; however, email submission is preferred. Use this document to find the updated email addresses for the lead administrative assistant at the corresponding school.

4. Await Confirmation from GFPS: After your documents have been submitted, watch for an email from Grand Forks Public Schools. This email will contain your PowerSchool code and detailed instructions on how to set up your PowerSchool account.

5. Complete the Registration Process: Once your PowerSchool account is set up, log in to complete the remainder of the registration process. It is crucial that you fill in all required information accurately and thoroughly. Please do not skip this step, as it ensures we have all the necessary details for your child’s enrollment.

Parents/guardians of current GFPS students are required to complete the annual registration forms through PowerSchool. To access the PowerSchool Registration link, you must have a Parent Portal account. For those without internet access, a paper option for registration is also available. Please ensure your Parent Portal account is active to facilitate a smooth registration process.

Grand Forks Public Schools is utilizing an online enrollment tool called PowerSchool Registration. You will access PowerSchool Registration through a PowerSchool Parent Portal Account.  The PowerSchool Parent Portal account allows you to create a single account that gives you access to grades (grades 4-12) and attendance information for your child(ren).  Please follow the directions to create your account. Be sure to link all your K-12 child(ren) to this account. You must have a Parent Portal account in order for you to access the PowerSchool Registration link.  Please keep in mind that we will have a paper option available for registration for those who may not have Internet access.
