Grand Forks Public Schools Launches Facility Improvement Survey

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Grand Forks Public Schools, in conjunction with SitelogIQ, has launched a facility improvement survey for members of the Grand Forks community.

The survey, available at, is open now through March 5. It should take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. For a video introduction to the survey from Superintendent Dr. Terry Brenner, please visit

Paper copies of the survey will be available at the Mark Sanford Education Center or by calling 701-746-2200.

For the last several years, Grand Forks Public Schools has embarked on a bold initiative to repair and improve the most immediate needs in many of the buildings. The school system has been working with SitelogIQ for over a year to explore and identify long-range facilities needs and financial implications and to align community values with contemporary educational experiences.

A Community Planning Task Force met for nine months over 23 meetings to understand the purpose of schools, review engineering assessments, tour buildings, and learn how the school system is funded. The Task Force presented their findings and recommendations to the Grand Forks School Board in December 2020. The Board has since been engaged in a series of workshops to better understand the Task Force’s recommendations and make preliminary decisions on a facility improvement plan.

The Grand Forks School Board is committed to a facility planning strategy that honors and reflects the priorities of the taxpayers and meets the expectations of our community, and wants those voices involved in this process.
