Students Compete at Regional Science and Engineering Fair

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Students from Grand Forks Public Schools earned several awards at the Northeast Regional Science and Engineering Fair, held March 8 in the Memorial Union Ballroom on the University of North Dakota (UND) campus.

The 73rd annual North Dakota State Science & Engineering Fair will be held at UND on March 30-31. The top finishers in the senior division will advance to compete at the 2023 International Science and Engineering Fair, held in Dallas from May 12-19.

Elementary Awards:

• Affan Ibne Obayed, Winship, elementary best in category award, physical science; elementary recognition award
• Aiza Binte Obayed, Winship, elementary best in category award, life science; elementary recognition award
• Braelynn Schroeder and Emma Flynn, Discovery, elementary grand champion; elementary recognition award
